Job Title: ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY ANALYST
Location: Merritt Island, Florida
Anticipated Hire Date: September 2015
ITB, Inc is an engineering, management, and technical support firm to the U.S. Government. We are in need of an Environmental Technology Analyst to support our environmental management contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position requires work at ITB’s Merritt Island, Florida office. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered. Employment start date is no later than October 1, 2015.
Responsibilities of the position include researching and analyzing innovative groundwater remediation and site characterization technologies, as well as environmental/pollution prevention and renewable energy technologies. The Analyst will advocate support to pursue the most promising of identified technologies with directed research, bench studies, pilot studies and demonstration projects. He/she will also seek cooperation with other federal agencies, states, and private interests to jointly demonstrate and evaluate the most promising technology alternatives. Technical expertise will focus on carrying out technology transfer efforts, including researching, analyzing, and documenting applications of innovative technologies. The Analyst must be skilled at understanding and analyzing current conditions at a contaminated site, including clean-up technologies already deployed, and look for ways to improve their effectiveness and reduce long-term liability.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree with an Engineering or Science focus and 7 or more years’ experience in environmental consulting or related experience. Direct experience addressing soil and groundwater contamination and remedial technologies is required. Application of emerging or innovative remediation, environmental, or energy technologies is preferred. Experience with Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and green remediation design and implementation is also desirable. Possession of a Profession Geologist or Professional Engineer license is a plus. Must be a team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Some domestic travel may be required.

Job Title: ENTRY-LEVEL ENGINEER

ITB, Inc is a leading edge engineering, management, and technical support firm to the U.S. Government. We are in need of an Entry-Level Engineer to support our technical and management services contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position is a full-time employee hire for work at either NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center, Florida or ITB’s Headquarters in Dayton, Ohio.
The primary role of the Engineer will be to support senior engineers and Program Managers who are providing technical and program/project management support as part of ITB's operation of the NASA office for Technology Evaluation for Environmental Risk Mitigation (TEERM), NASA’s Remediation Program and/or Energy & Water Program. A primary responsibility of the Engineer is the preparation of comprehensive technical reports through research and analysis of data. Candidates will work closely with senior engineers to determine requirements and gather technical information. Current technical areas for which candidates may be assigned include environmentally preferable materials and processes for aerospace and launch complexes, alternative and renewable energy technologies, novel remediation technologies, critical infrastructure resiliency and sustainability.
Applicants must be a recent B.S. or M.S. engineering or science graduate with up to 5 years of professional experience. The selected candidate must have strong critical analysis abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language, and the ability to work with people. Must be proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Familiarity with project management and experimental design is desired. EIT certificate desirable.
