Project Engineer / Staff Engineer O&G (Houston, TX)

 

The Project Engineer position is responsible for the design of structures and mechanisms for use in both Land and offshore oil and gas application (drilling, production, and distribution).

 

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and be responsible for deliverables of mechanical designs and be able to provide inputs to mechanical/structural analyses and designers/drafters.

• Works closely with Bastion engineering staff and with customers to identify customer requirements and develop products the meet customer needs.

• Will collaborate with sales and marketing to identify customer needs and propose solutions and scope of work to potential customers.

• Mentors and develops less-senior engineers by means of mentoring and review of other engineer's products.

• May also be required to review and approve technical product of engineering staff.

 

Required Skills:

• BS or MS in Engineering in Mechanical, Industrial, Petroleum or Marine Engineering.

• Professional Engineering Registration is a plus.

• Ability to create written reports and discuss with engineering team and customers.

• Experience with ANSYS, LS-DYNA or NASTRAN is a plus.

• Experience with SolidWorks™ or AutoDesk™ Inventor is a plus.

• Ability to travel within the US, abroad and offshore is a plus.

• Knowledge of API and/or DNV, ABS and ASME codes and regulations is a plus.

• Previous experience with the design and dynamic analysis of offshore marines systems is a plus, specifically experience and competency in the use of OrcaFlex™.

 

Must be highly motivated to complete projects and with applicable documented experience showing high level of success in project completion.

Sales Manager (Houston, TX)

 

As a Sales Manager for Bastion Technologies Inc. you will be responsible for selling engineering structural analysis and design services to the Upstream Oil & Gas industry.

 

Responsibilities:

• Opportunity development and sales responsibilities for oil & gas/energy accounts

Build relationships and establish communications at the highest executive levels in your accounts to understand their needs and priorities.

• Identify and qualify high value opportunities for Bastion engineering analysis, design, and simulation services.

• Determine the applicability and business value of Bastion services.

• Communicate the differentiated value of Bastion services to the customer at both the technical and business level.

• Establish Bastion's ability to deliver business value through reference and use case selling, and proof of concept engagements.

• Understand the formal and informal buying process in the customer's environment.

• Identify the customer approvers, decision makers, and influencers, and develop strategies for each to mitigate risk and increase deal confidence.

• Manage the closing process including negotiations, terms and conditions, and procurement activities.

• Develop sales pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet and exceed your quota targets.

• Maintain a current and accurate pipeline of your early stage, upside, and forecast deals.

• Review your opportunities with Bastion management and extended team on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

• Direct accountability to meet or exceed your quarterly and annual sales quota on a consistent basis.

 

Required Skills:

• Direct or indirect background in oil & gas/energy with a strong understanding of market dynamics and process areas.

• Experience in selling engineering analysis, design, and simulation services and a demonstrated history to consistently meet or exceed performance targets.

• Demonstrated ability to build and manage customer executive relationships at the highest levels.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
